NOAC Patch Order Form

THUNDERBIRD TIMES

HAPPY NEW YEARS! This is the first official Tahgajute Newsletter of 2009!!!

From The Council Of Chiefs:

Several fellow members of Tahgajute Lodge attended the Council of Chiefs meeting on January 17 where we discussed plans for the upcoming 2009 Conclave. At the meeting, our lodge made an amazing presentation (Two Video Clips are available below) for which we were awarded $50 towards our CVC assignment (Friday Special Events).

Also at the COC, a new Section Chief was elected, Nate Wadsworth from Kayanernh-Kowa Lodge, who has already accepted our invitation to attend our Winter Banquet on January 20. You can always read more about our section officers at NE3A.org.

Conclave 2009 Updates:

· Date: August 14-16 at Camp Woodland (just outside of Syracuse)

· In case you have forgotten, the Theme for this year’s conclave is “Survivor; A New Beginning”

· The Section is asking each of you for Patch Donations for the Conclave Patch Auction. Our goal is to have at least 10 cool patches from each lodge so that we can guarantee an amazing patch auction. The money made from the auction will go towards our section and help train our section staff and make for better conclaves in the future.

· There will be no camp tents at this year’s conclave, so you will have to provide your own.

· There will be an open water-front this year, so bring your swim-trunks!

· This year there will be a HUGE Ceremonies Team Competition, so practice your lines!

· DO NOT FORGET YOUR HEALTH FORMS

Conclave CVC Assignment – Friday Special Events:

As you should already know, Tahgajute Lodge is in charge of Special Events for the first day of Conclave. This will consist of “SURVIVOR” related competitions such as eating disgusting food, catching “fish” in a “bucket”, ice-water endurance, balancing, arm-hanging, bird shooting (with a “rock”), trivia, mind-teaser puzzles, and other such things. The people who win the most events (accumulate the most tickets) will compete for one, very special prize. The entire competition will be displayed LIVE on the projector screen in the dining-hall for spectators. In addition to this spectacle, we will also hide an idol in camp to be hidden throughout the week. The person to return this idol at the end of conclave will get a very cool prize. Thanks to our COC presentation, our budget has been raised to $125. If you have any suggestions or questions, contact the CVC chairman, Dan Lees at Voodoothursday@gmail.com.

To make this all happen, there is a number of things we need to obtain. If you happen to have access to anything on the list below, let us know at the email address above.
